there was this one time in freshmen year where i was interviewed to be a recorder in the student office and this interviewer asked what i think a recorder does. i gave her a simple answer and said that its a person who goes to school events and keeps track of how smoothly the event goes and records all the details etc. etc. and she seemed unsatisfied with my answer and went right to accusing me by saying, something along the lines, “did you even asked people around what a recorder is?” and in my mind, i was like “wtf kind of question is that? how am i supposed to respond to that?!”

If you wanted more to my answer, you could have simply asked, “oh, what else do you think a recorder does?” that way you could have continued the conversation without being an asshole. You didn’t have to accuse me of not “knowing” every fucking little thing a recorder does? That’s why I want to be a recorder so I can learn! I remember the other asb officers tried to defend me from her but she just kept being stingy saying stuff like, “if she really wants to be a recorder, she should have done more to find out what a recorder is!” And i’m just sitting there, like wtf??!!!!!!! This is an interview, why are you making it a debate about unnecessary things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i swear the god, some of the people in leadership class are so stuck up!

i know this was all the way from freshman year, but now that reelection’s are starting again for junior year, i can’t help but get annoyed by leadership. Everything’s a popularity contest and most of the people running arent the right kind of people.They seem to be the kind of people who only want a title to put on their college application judging from how our current student officers don’t do a good job in informing us of school events outside of their usual leadership clique.

i hope this doesn’t sound like im jealous because im not. Its just that there is so many cases where people who really work hard lose a spot only because they’re not “popular” and thats upsetting. :///
